WHO AM I?
My name is Sam - I am a born & raised Wisconsinite. I had a goal to visit every state before I turned 30 years old and I accomplished that goal in October of 2019. I have a strong love for travel and finding the best food along the way.

WHY DO THIS?
I became unemployed during the pandemic in March of 2020 when I worked in HR for a restaurant franchise. I decided that I would continue to support local restaurants and workers by eating out once a week. That morphed into a mission to find the best deep fried cheese curds in Wisconsin. I have combined my love for food with my love for travel and I am no longer looking for the best cheese curds - but the best food a new city has to offer.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD DEEP FRIED CHEESE CURD?
Everyone you ask will have a different opinion on this but I can tell you mine. I look for a good batter (not breading) with the perfect batter-to-cheese ratio. Not too greasy. The cheese has to have a nice pull and be juuuuust melty enough. I love a spicy ranch but make sure it's thiccc (with three C's exactly). Anything less than a 7 ain't worth the calories.
